Robert Wayne Leonard, Sr.

November 11, 1939 — October 5, 2006

Robert Wayne Leonard, Sr., 66, 613 Lacasa Drive, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Leonard was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late Keevil and Becky Scott Leonard. Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Wayne Leonard, III. He retired after 38 years as a supervisor from Fluor Daniels Company. Mr. Leonard attended Midfield Free Will Baptist Church and Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Leonard loved to play golf and spent time with his family and friends. Everyone that knew him, especially his little dog, 'Vessie', loved him. She was his little girl. He was a great husband and daddy. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Betty Dyer Leonard; his children, Robin Harr and her husband, Jackie, Kingsport; Teresa Cobb and her fianc?, Tim, Jonesborough; Wayne Leonard, and his wife, Kenda, Kingsport; Tina Rosenbalm and her husband, Marvin, Johnson City; Angie Love and her husband, Michael, Kingsport; Becky Hall and her husband, Greg, Jonesborough; sisters, Joyce Buck, and her husband, J.D., Gray and Jan Cansler and her husband, Mike, Gray; grandchildren, Jeremy Edwards, Kerry and Karl Gentry, Lee Harr, Jaclyn Smith, Travis Rosenbalm, Randall Love, Kody Hall and Taylor Cobb; great grandchild, Paisley Smith; special friends, Bob Stills, Donald Adkins and all of the other friends that knew Robert; special nephews, Chad Buck and Jason Cansler and special niece, Tracy Nave. A funeral service for Mr. Leonard will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday, October 8, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Billy Gragg will officiate. Special music will be provided by Paul Greene and Brenda Buck. Graveside services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time. Active pallbearers will be Authur Buck, Chad Buck, Mike Cansler, Bob Sills, Junior Britt and Greg Hall. Dr. Robert Allen will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family expresses a special thanks to Dr Robert Allen and the staff of The Castle for their excellent care and concern.
