Rodger Daniel Ledford

Mr. Rodger Daniel Ledford, 69, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, May 01, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Johnson City, he was the son of the late Nevielle and Cora Mae Pate Ledford. Rodger was a member of East View Freewill Baptist Church and worked at AO Smith Cline for over 23 years as a machine welder. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Jimmy Ledford and one sister, Hazel Brummitt. He is survived by his son, Johnny Dale Ledford; two daughters, Angela Ledford and Mechelle Turbyfill and husband Dennis, all of Johnson City; girlfriend Patricia Johnson, of the home; six grandchildren, Brandon Canter and wife Laura, Kelssie Canter, Meagan Gray, Alisha Gray, Carl James Talton, and Zachary Talton; two great grandchildren, Noah and Skyler Canter; and two sisters, Emily Miller and Lilly Mae Sells. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City, 37601 The family will receive friends, Saturday, May 5, 2012, 6-8pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 8pm, with Pastors Gary Hodges and Wesley Ward officiating. Entombment will be held, Sunday, May 6, 2012, 2pm, at Monte Vista Memorial Park Mausoleum.
