Rosalie Frances Yelton

Rosalie Frances Yelton, 73, of 131 Lake Meadow Drive, Gray, died at her residence Saturday, June 9, 2007. She was a native of Hazel Green, Alabama, daughter of the late, Jackie Lee and Susie White Strong Owen. Rosalie was a RN, a graduate of St. Marys School of Nursing. She was a loving wife, caring mother, devoted grandmother and practiced the 'Sermon on the Mount Christianity'?. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ivan Douglas Yelton, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: her husband, James M. Yelton, SR. of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, James M. Yelton, III and Angie Yelton of Rockwood, TN; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Larry Kennedy of Roanoake, VA; a sister and brother-in-law, Bettye Sue and Earl Long of Athens, AL; four grandchildren, Jaime Leigh and Haley Sue Yelton, Logan Wayne and Parker Ivan Kennedy; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, June 11, 2007 in the North Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m., under the direction of Rev. Ken Bewely. Mrs. Yelton is to be cremated and then to be scattered at Roan Mountain later. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 127 Dillon Court, Johnson City, TN 37615.
