Roscoe C. Grindstaff

Roscoe C. Grindstaff, age 77, of Lakebridge Health Care, formerly of Greenwood Drive, Johnson City, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Johnson City Medical Center.He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Rachel Norris Grindstaff and the late Charles Grindstaff.Mr. Grindstaff had retired but prior to his retirement, he had worked for over 30 years at Empire Furniture Company.Mr. Grindstaff attended the Faith Free Will Baptist Church.Mr. Grindstaff was loved by his family and will be missed but they know that he is now with Jesus.Survivors are three children, Tim Grindstaff of Erwin, Teresa Grindstaff of Johnson City, Janie Haun of Spartanburg, South Carolina; four sisters, Ella Hamby of Florida, Barbara Williams of Georgia, Gladys Moore and her husband Robert of Johnson City, Edna Burleson of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Samuel Haun, Amber Haun, Michael Haun, Mandy Nutter and Taylor Nutter; one great grandchild, Haylee Tilson and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Mr. Grindstaff will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Rev. Tim Bowers will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 on Friday, prior to the service. Graveside services and burial will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
