Rose Dunlap, 84, was born of January 29, 1923 and passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord surrounded by her immediate family on January 13, 2007. Mrs. Dunlap was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. She worked and retired from the Red Lobster where she made many lifelong friends. She loved the mountains that surrounded the city. Mrs. Dunlap was of the Christian faith and enjoyed knowing that heaven had a place for her. She is survived by: one brother and his wife, Robert and Lillian Oliver of Ocala, Florida; a daughter and her husband, Patty and Darrell Head of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Albuquerque Head, Victoria Head, and Aaron Head, all of Kingsport; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Dunlap lost touch with many family members over the years but never forgot them. A 'Gathering of Friends' of Rose Dunlap will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
