Rosemarie Cousino Burns, beloved wife, mother and grandmother age 90, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Cornerstone Healthcare. She was the daughter of the late George M. and Elizabeth McWilliams Cousino and was born in Lawrence County, Ohio.
Rosemarie was retired homemaker.
A longtime member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, she was active in several functions of the church.
Before moving to Johnson City, she lived in Unicoi, TN and Mt. Clemens, MI.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Ellen Louise Ronan and her husband Clarence E. Burns of 51 years.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives Michael Joseph and Dianne Burns, Thomas Patrick and Diana Burns, James Brian and Michelle Burns a daughter and her husband Barbara Ann and David Henry; four granddaughters Heather (Brian Fiegelman), Melissa (Adam Bradburn), Elizabeth Burns and Rebecca Burns: three grandsons Paul (Katie) Burns, Caleb Henry and John Burns; two great-grandsons Jackson and Arlo; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Koehler and Susan Isabel Barb. Numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Rosary Service is to be held at 8:00 pm in the Dogwood Chapel.
On Tuesday, June 25, 2019 Rosemarie will lie in state from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am under the direction of Father Peter Iorio. A committal service is scheduled for 1:45 pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
