Roy Adam Pealer

Roy A. Pealer, 82, passed away July 21, 2007 in the Cookville Regional Medical Center in Cookville, TN with his loving wife and son by his side. He was a native of Watauga, TN, but had lived in Celina, TN for the past 50 years. He was a son of the late Mitch and Helena Pealer. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dean Curd and his first wife, Dorothy Walker Pealer.He served his country in the U. S. Navy in World War II. He had worked for the Army Corp. of Engineers until he retired. He was an accomplished electrician and used his talent to help friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Justine; two sons, Donald Pealer of Celina and Dennis Pealer of Livingston, TN; two grandchildren; one brother, Bruce Pealer of Piney Flats; six sisters, Marie Kerley, Nell Hyder, Mattie Boyd, Cleta Fisher, Margie Trent and Mittie Loveless; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Chirley Jones will officiate. Burial will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 AM from the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral Home by 9:30 AM Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. Military honors will be held at the graveside. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday.
