Roy Grant Lowe, Sr.

Roy "Grant" Lowe, Sr., age 79 of Washington County, Tennessee went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August, 16, 2024. He was born on February 4, 1945 in Washington County to the late John H. and Helen Lowe. After graduation he served his country in the Army National Guard of Tennessee, and was called to active duty in 1962.

Roy worked in maintenance for his entire career, and retired from Bosch after 26 loyal years. He was of the baptist faith, and most recently a faithful member at Southside Baptist Church. On March 21, 1963 Roy married the love of his life, Carolyn Ruth Moss. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending his time in the mountains, especially hunting, fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Helen Lowe, son, Randy Lowe, sister, Marilyn Hopson, and mother-in-law, Dessie Moss.

Roy is survived by the love of his life for 61 years, Carolyn "Carol" Lowe, son, Roy, Jr. (Robin) Lowe, daughter, Regina (Charlie) Davis, daughter-in-law, Becky Lowe; grandchildren, Grant (Lita) Lowe III, Jordan Lowe, Robby (Chloe) Russell, and Christine Davis; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Lowe, Gracie Lowe, and Kyleigh Barnes, brother, Johnny (Linda) Lowe, and special nieces and nephew, Sharon Grindstaff, Teresa Perry, Lisa Lowe, and Mark Lowe.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Roy's name may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1928 Wheeler St. Johnson City, Tennessee 37604.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Southside Baptist Church, 1928 Wheeler St. Johnson City, Tennessee 37604. A Memorial service will be immediately following, Pastor Roy Lowe, Jr. will be officiating, Roy Tucker will be presenting a recitation, and David Hart, Cameron Morrison, and Brenda Hutton will be providing special music.
