Roy Monroe Reese

Roy Monroe Reese, 67, of Watauga, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a native of Johnson City and a son of the late, Bill and Ava Boone Reese. Roy had worked for the Norfolk-Southern Railroad as an Operations Supervisor. Mr. Reese loved his job and was a person with a big heart. Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Eva Hoyle Reese and is survived by their daughter Annissa Cauble and her husband Chris of Jonesborough. He was also preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Jannie Reese and their daughter Laura Reese surviving daughters are Kristi Fisher and Wendy Reese. Additional survivors are several grandchildren; six brothers, Bill, Jr., Carroll, Jerry, Terry , Raymond and Cecil; several nieces and nephews. His daughter Annissa would like to bestow a big thank-you to Debbie Wilson, Jack Dempsey and Joe Collins. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday, February 9, 2012 from the Morris Baker North Chapel. Dr. Michael Oaks will officiate. Burial services will be held at 10:00 am Friday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am on Friday. Pallbearers will be Terry Reese, Chris Cauble, Charlie Cauble, Jack Dempsey, Roger Birchfield and Joe Collins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Thursday.
