Roy Moody Mclaughlin

Roy M. McLaughlin, age 78, of 210 Colorado Street, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 02, 2006 at his residence. He was a native of Unicoi County but had lived in Johnson City all of his life. He was a son of the late Eugene and Rachael Linville McLaughlin. Mr. McLaughlin was also preceded in death by one sister, Violet Garrison. Mr. McLaughlin attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Johnson City. He is survived by his wife, Jenny McLaughlin; two sons, Steve McLaughlin of Johnson City and Dr. Randy McLaughlin and his wife Barbara of Kingsport; three sisters, Opal Bennett of Jonesborough, Charlene Church of Unicoi and Jewel Stewart of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Brian McLaughlin, Travis McLaughlin, Lindsay Lester, Amy McLaughlin and Becky McLaughlin. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday from the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff will officiate. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Travis McLaughlin, Brian McLaughlin, Kevin Lester, Clyde Hartley, Roy Smith, Jimmy Branch and Alford Crum. Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of the First Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday.
