Ruby Alice Tester, 93, of Johnson City, died Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and a daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Moore Counts.
Prior to her retirement, Ruby worked as a textile worker for Leon-Ferenbach, Inc.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tester, and her six brothers and sisters.
Ruby was a private person who cherished her family and close friends, and she will be missed by those who loved her.
Survivors include: her son, Reed Tester, Sr., of Johnson City; grandson, Reed Tester II, and his wife Kala, of Johnson City, granddaughter, Angela Bradford, and her husband Matt, of Knoxville, and granddaughter, Sara Hart, and her husband Randy, of Johnson City; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Ruby Tester will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, February 10, 2020, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Mr. Matt Pollock will officiate. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery by 12:45 pm Monday for those services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 2101 W. Walnut Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
