Ruby Broyles

Ruby Broyles, 91, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Ruby was a native of Flat Ridge, VA. She was a daughter of the late Tollie and Mamie Anderson Roberts. Ruby worked as an Assistant Administrator with NHC HealthCare for more than 20 years, where she formed many lifelong friendships. In addition to her parents, her husband, William Larn Broyles, preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daughter, Dr. Amy Young and her husband Dr. Mark Young; one son, Greg Broyles and his wife Jamie; five loving grandchildren who gave her great joy over the years, Matt Broyles and his wife Bekah, Michael Broyles, Erin Broyles and her husband Chad, Thomas Young, and Nicole Young; two great grandchildren, Roslin Ruby Broyles and Gregory Edward Stafford; and two brothers, Kyle and Curtis Roberts. The family of Ruby Broyles will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Lon Tobin officiating. A entombment service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:30 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
