Ruby Mae Green

Ruby Mae Green, 90, Piney Flats, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Ruby was born in Morganton, NC to the late Clayton and Lucy Crotts. Ruby spent much of her life in Piney Flats growing her family. She was a lifelong member of Piney Flats First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by: two children, Tony Green and Gloria Frederick.

Survivors include: children, Dennis Green, Glenda Worley, Steve Green, Teresa Reynolds, Wanda Felty, Jeff Green and Melissa Grubbs; and many adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruby impacted many lives, but no lives were more changed by Ruby than those of her family. Ruby will be remembered as a selfless, kind, simple and easy-going woman who was devoted to her family. She will be missed dearly.

The family of Ruby Green will receive friends from 5 PM until 6 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Piney Flats First Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 6 PM with Dr. Allen Davis officiating and Ashley Gray providing the eulogy. The graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday at Edgefield Cemetery, 745 Pickens Bridge Rd., Piney Flats. Ruby’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
