Ruby Victoria Baw Baw Johnson

Mrs. Ruby Victoria 'Baw Baw'? Johnson, age 87, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Johnson County who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late James and Lela Mae Leffman Widener. In addition to her parents three brothers, Estel, James and Herbert Widener also preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson was a seamstress for forty years. Baw Baw was blessed with a lifetime of heartfelt hugs and kisses from her three children, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She actively enjoyed camping and weekly family gatherings. Survivors include her husband of sixty-nine years, Noah Johnson; two daughters, Barbara Carr and her husband Bobby and Carolyn Tallman and her husband Charles; one son, Dennie Johnson and his wife Debbie; eight grandchildren, Jackie Whittaker, Jimmy Carr, Wendy Clark, Jeanna Kelly, Michael Tallman, Megan Stidham, Angie Johnson and Robin Cole; ten great grandchildren, Justin Whittaker, Tanner Whittaker, Dalton Clark, Hannah Clark, Dresden Kelly, Delilah Tallman, Kenzie Stidham, Brandon DeBold, Evan DeBold and Ryan DeBold. The family of Mrs. Ruby Victoria 'Baw Baw'? Johnson will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, March 17, 2014, at Morris-Baker. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. William Duncan will officiate. The entombment service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Justin Whittaker, Tanner Whittaker, Chad Clark, Bryan Whittaker, James Kelly and Ryan Robbins. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Carr and Charles Tallman, Jr. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to express thanks to Dr. Allen Colyar and his wife Jennifer for their care. The family would also like to express a special thank you to the entire staff at Pinnacle Family Medical, and the Johnson City Medical Center Emergency room staff.
