Rufus Paul Palmer, M.D.

JOHNSON CITY ? Rufus Paul Palmer, M.D., 82, of Johnson City passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Baroda, India, Rufus was a graduate of Oberlin College and Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Prior to retiring to Johnson City, he practiced medicine as a surgeon in California and Florida. Rufus was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ruth, his brothers John and Cornelius and sisters Neela and Clara. Rufus is survived by his wife Carol; son Dean Palmer, Washington, DC; son Dana and grandsons Tobin and Emmett Palmer, all of Santa Monica, CA; sister Hilda Varma, Gujarat, India; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
