Russell R. Ginnings

Mr. Russell R. Ginnings, age 52, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Ginnings was a native of Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of the late Gerald Keith Ginnings and Peggy Reed Ginnings. Mr. Ginnings served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He received his MBA from East Tennessee State University. He was the Adjunct Instructor at East Tennessee State University Department of Management and Marketing. He also taught at the National College of Business in Bristol. He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Blair; one son, Joshua Ginnings; two step-children, Travis Kammeyer and Jami Gregg; two brothers, Jeffrey Ginnings and David Ginnings; five grandchildren, Ryan Blair, Reed Ginnings, Austin Gregg, Trinity Gregg and Nicholas Gregg; one niece, Jennifer Ginnings; two nephews, Justin Ginnings and Nick Ginnings. A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Russell R. Ginnings will be conducted at 7 PM Sunday, August 25, 2013 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. David A. Roberts, Minister and friend will officiate. The inurnment service will be conducted at 10 AM Monday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 AM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday prior to the service.
