Her unwavering faith in God, strong will to live, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through several years of ailing health. Being a woman of strong faith, she believed in the power and strength of the Lord?s love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Haskel E. Green, Jr., and several beloved brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Janel Street and her husband James, and Michele Johnson and her husband Jim; four grandchildren, Brooke Oliver, Brittany Street, and Braxton Johnson, and Hollie Gagne and her husband Adam; one brother, Freddie Saults; and her dogs, BJ and Verdale, who were her babies. Services for Ruth D. Green will be private. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. She had a huge heart for animals. She donated to the Human Society, ASPCA, and the local animal shelter. In the spirit of her love for animals, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local animal shelter in her remembrance. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Phillip Jones, Dr. Dima Youssef, and Dr. David Freeman. John 11: 25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
