Sadie B. Casey, 97, of 1404 John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Casey was a native of Unicoi County and had lived in Johnson City for many years. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Lynnis White Blevins. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Casey in 1947; a son Ray Casey in 2003; a grandson, Allen Casey; a son-in-law, Johnny Tucker; three sisters and one brother. She was a member of the Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Casey was a homemaker. Survivors include: a son Billy and his wife 'Susie'? Casey of Embreeville; two daughters, Emaline Tucker of the home , Linda and her husband Eugene Brotherton of the home; one daughter-in-law, Jean Casey of Kingsport; grandchildren, Randy and wife Betsy Casey, Kevin and wife Lisa Casey, Mark and wife Sharon Casey, Gary and wife Regina Tucker, Judy Tucker, Katie Prince, Angie and husband Steve English, Amy Townsend, and Rebecca Townsend; several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Sadie B. Casey will be conducted at 2:30 PM Saturday, March 1, 2008 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Larry Tolley will officiate. The committal service will follow in the Bumpass Cove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Gary Tucker, Randy Casey, Kevin Casey, Mark Casey, Steve English and family friend Steve Townsend. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 1 to 2:30 PM Saturday prior to the service.
