Sammie F. Taub, 86 of 1604 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City passed away and went to rejoin her husband on Monday, August 4, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Taub was a native of Henderson County, KY, and had lived in Johnson City for the past twenty-two years. She was a daughter of the late Samuel Harrison and Essa Francis Claybrooke Gaines. Mrs. Taub met her late husband, Paul Taub, in a World War II munitions plant in Kentucky. Mr. Taub died in November 1996. Mrs. Taub was a legal secretary in her husbands law office for many years. The main loves in her life were her husband, her daughter, her grand daughter ,her dogs and playing Bingo. Mrs. Taub in preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one brother and one sister. Survivors include: her loving and caring daughter, Susan I. Taub of the home; one grand daughter, Talayna Rowles of Estero, Florida; one sister, Sue Ella Light of Johnson City. A graveside service for Sammie F. Taub will be conducted at 3 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Bob Edmonds will officiate. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 2:55 PM for the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Washington County Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604
