Savannah Ruth Garden

Savannah Ruth Garden, 81, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Savannah was a native of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Clifton and Lola Poore Peters. Savannah sang in the True Gospel Quartet, traveling to different churches to sing the praise of the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bryan Garden, Jr. Survivors include: five children, Sandra Roberts, Jackie Dean Garden, Kenith Garden, Jeffery Garden, and Angela Garden McQueen and her husband Charles; many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Junior Peters and his wife Gina, of Baltimore, MD; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Savannah Garden will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
