Sherrie Lynn Denton

Sherrie Lynn Denton, 49, of Piney Flats, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol. She was a native of Piney Flats, daughter of the late Marilyn Sue Steppe Wyatt and Donald A. Wyatt of Piney Flats. Sherrie was a security guard and attended the TriCities Church of God. Survivors including her father are: two sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Susan Denton of Watauga, Jeremiah and Brittany Denton of Gray; a brother, Troy Wyatt and sister, Amy Perry and husband John all of Piney Flats; two grandchildren, Liam and Andrew Denton; two nephews, Matthew and Chad Perry. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Pastor Richard Bawgus and Minister Vernon Perry. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm. A committal service will follow in the Shell Cemetery in Piney Flats.
