Sherry Ann Harwood

Sherry Ann English Harwood, 61, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her residence. She was a native of Asheville, daughter of the late Mitchell Clarence English and Carole Jean Mills. Sherry was a retired administrative assistant in the construction industry. She moved to Tennessee in 2008 and loved outings to visit local sites. She enjoyed gardening, reading and was an avid fan of the movies. Sherry was a kind and giving spirit and was always quick to come to the aid of anyone in need. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Ricky Harwood in 2014 and her maternal grandmother, Lucille Foster Mills. Survivors include her two sisters and a brother-in-law; Terry Atkins and Linda and Brian Newton all of North Carolina; a niece, Candice Newton and a nephew and his wife, Sean and Devon Newton; a great niece, Breanna and great nephew, Lochlan. Sherry is to be cremated and a private family service is planned for a later date.
