Sinia Drayne

Sinia Adkins Drayne, 88, formerly of 303 Hamilton Street, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Drayne was a native of Sioux, NC and had lived in Johnson City since the 1940?s. She was a daughter of the late Preston and Martha Peterson Adkins. Her husband, Rev. Ernest Drayne, three brothers and three sisters, preceded Mrs. Drayne in death. She was a member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Drayne was a bookkeeper. Survivors include two grandsons, Eddie Drayne, Johnson City and Randall Drayne, Kingsport; great grandson, Robert Drayne, Kingsport; great granddaughter, Virginia Brandon, Johnson City and several nieces and nephews including Joy M. Linville. A funeral service for Mrs. Drayne will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, May 14, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Paul Crowe will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday at Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons and Trustees of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
