Soule Ora Bowyer

Soule O. Bowyer, 95, of Colonial Hills Retirement Center, Johnson City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Bowyer was a native of Valdosta, Georgia and had lived in Johnson City for the past seven years. She was a daughter of the late Ross G. and Nellie Bly Gleaton Grier. She was a former secretary and bookkeeper for an awning manufacture. Mrs. Bowyer is preceded in death by: her husband , Wilbert G. Bowyer in 1996; one son, Gale W. Bowyer; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: one daughter, Sandra and her husband Gordon W. Gray of Jonesborough; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews ; a special friend, Dorothy Moore of Johnson City. The funeral service for Mrs. Soule O. Bowyer will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2009 in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Tampa, Florida. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
