Stanley Eugene Hicks

Stanley Eugene Hicks, 66, Johnson City, died Friday, December 16, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Hicks was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late Bert and Mae Mitchell Hicks and was also preceded in death by one sister, Joan Hicks. Mr. Hicks was a bank courier. He was a member of the International Operators and Engineers Union. Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Fran Hicks; one son, Robert Hicks and his wife, Claudia, Gray; two daughters, Leigh Ann Bowser and her husband, Mark, Gray and Donna Horton and her husband, Kerry, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Katie and Caleb Bowser and Chance Horton and one sister, Carol Bemis, Port St Lucie, FL. A funeral service for Mr. Hicks will be conducted at 8 PM Monday, December 19, 2005 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Minister Charles E. Reese will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 11:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 318 Memphis, TN 38101.
