Mrs. Stella Arrie Cross White, 96, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 26, 2015, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. White was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late J. H. 'Hubert'? and Bessie Cross. Stella was a member of East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and president of UMW. She was a member of the Johnson City Senior Center and the Musical Voices. Stella was given awards for her volunteer services. She was also the owner of Whites Beauty Shop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Tony White; three brothers, Junior Lee, Gerald, and Bill G. Cross; and two sisters, Violet Eads and Louise Daniels. Survivors include: one son, Marion J. White and his wife Vivian; two daughters, Cherie Lindsey and her husband Larry and Sharon Bowles and her husband Dr. Richard Bowles; seven grandchildren, Bob White and his wife Karen, Genae Tolley, Andi Lindsey, Shea Lindsey and his wife Amy, Rev. Matt Bowles and his wife Amy, Dr. Ryan Bowles and his wife Glenda, and Jennifer Bogni and her husband Fabio; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Stella Arrie Cross White will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Lon Tobin officiating. The graveside committal service will follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church, 2215 East Unaka Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601.
