Stella Davis Ellison

Stella Davis Ellison, 84, 1316 Imperial Court, Gray, TN died Monday, November 26, 2007 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Ellison was born and had lived most of her life in Carter County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Johnson Lyons and was the last child living of nine children. Mrs. Ellison was a member of the Church of God and was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Claude L. Davis, Sr. in 1994; a son, Wendall Davis in 1994; and eight siblings. Survivors include: her husband, Carl E. Ellison of Gray; one son, Norman S. Davis of Gray; one daughter, Shelby Jean McKinney of Johnson City; two half-brothers, Harrison Lyons of Michigan and Tommy Lyons of Johnson City; two half-sisters, Lucille Gobble of Kingsport and Betty Lyons Francis of Jonesborough; eight grandchildren, Kathy Trombley, Scotty A. Davis, Mitzi McKinney, Michael D. Davis, Jeff Davis, Kimberly Konstantopoulos, Jason D. McKinney, and Gregory D. Davis ; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Stella Davis Ellison will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, November 30, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Edward Davis and Mr. David Konstantopoulos will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 1 to 2 PM Friday, prior to the service.
