Stella Emily Ledford Miller, 76, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Emily was a lifelong resident of Johnson City and the youngest daughter of the late Neville Lynn Ledford and Corra Mae Pate Ledford. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Johnson City. For over twenty-five years Emily dedicated her time to the Genealogy Department at the Kingsport LDS Stake, of which she was chairman. She also volunteered her time toward missionary work in service of the Genealogy Department. She was a devoted member of the Republican party, committing a vast amount of her time and creativity toward their local efforts and elections over the years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph Jackson ?Jack' Miller Sr.; three brothers, Jimmy Neil Ledford, Neville Lynn Ledford Jr., and Rodger Daniel Ledford; three sisters, Lillie Mae ?Dude' Ledford Sells, Dorothy Lorraine Ledford Draper, and Hazel Estel Marie Ledford Glover. Survivors include: her sweetheart, Jim Blamble of Elizabethton; one son, Ralph Jackson Miller Jr. and his wife Mary Lynn Thomas-Miller of McAllen, Texas; two daughters, Bree Leeann Miller of Knoxville, as well as Julie Corette Griffith and her husband Wayne Michael Griffith of Johnson City. The family of Emily Miller will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Bishop Warren Jones. A committal service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 10:50 AM. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
