Stephen Scott Wilson

Stephen Scott 'Scruffy' Wilson, 45, Johnson City, died Monday, January 2, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Wilson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of Steve and Mary Charles Williams Wilson of Johnson City. Mr. Wilson was an employee of Nuclear Fuels, Erwin, TN. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. His best friend, Matt Meredith, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ambers Wilson, Sr. and Mr. Jack Williams, precede Mr. Wilson in death. Survivors in addition to his parents include two sons, Stephen Wilson and Richard Thomas both of Erwin; one brother, Van Wilson and his wife, Cathy, Charlotte, NC; mother-in-law, Louise Garland, Erwin; grandmother, Myra Williams, Johnson City and his dearest and best friend, Rossanna Wilson Garland, Erwin. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend R. Willard Warfield, Reverend Ken Hecht and Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family will receive friend from 12 Noon Thursday until service time. Active pallbearers will be Mike Norris, Donnie Britt, Dean Garland, Ronald Ambrose, Ritchie Davis, Gary Mathes, Kevin Stout and Jason Charles. Honorary pallbearers will be Porter Wilson, Robyn Wilson, John Speropulos, Peter Speropulos, Mike Edney, James Bailey, and Danny Webb.
