Steven Robert Snell, 46, of Johnson City, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Dr. Robert L. Snell and Mrs. Peggy Snell of Johnson City. Steve was a contractor, a graduate of University High School and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the 1980s and had returned to Johnson City in 2005. Survivors including his mother are: a son Jeffrey Snell of Knoxville; a daughter, Stephanie Snell of Johnson City; a brother, Scott Snell of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Dezmond and Airyn. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Chaplain Charlene Galvin. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at noon. A committal service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Mt. Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Kingsport VFW #3382 and the Tennessee National Guard. Active pallbearers will be members of the honor guard.
