Sue Copas, 58, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late John A. and Frances Collins Garst. Sue was a homemaker and of the Free Will Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four infant brothers. Survivors include: her husband, Billy Joe Copas of the home; a son, Chucky Joe Copas and his wife Amanda; a daughter, Amy Sue Moser and her husband Edward; five brothers and four sister-in-laws Bobby Joe and Kathy Garst, Michael R. Garst, Dennis L. and Lois Garst, Roy L. and Jolene Garst, Donald C. and Dee Garst; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy E. and Roy Whitson; four grandchildren, Jessica B. and Malachi I. Copas and Emily S. and Ethan L. Moser; an expected great grandchild, Rylie R. Copas. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Keith Gwyn, Rev. Matthew Guy and Rev. Roy Whitson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 8:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Ricky Nickels, David Copas, Jr., Beaver Whitson, David Edwards, William Colvin, Scotty Garst, Kenny Arrwood and Randy Carr; honorary pallbearers will be, George Copas, Jr., Roger Whitson, Malachi Copas and Ethan Moser.
