Susan Ann Dyer

Mrs. Susan A. Dyer, 88, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center with family at her side.A native of VA, but lived most of her life in Johnson City. Mrs. Dyer was a 1st grade teacher at Asbury Elementary School. Teaching for over 30 years. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dyer was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. Dyer, 1 brother and 1 sister.Survivors include a daughter, Mary L. Gillette and son in law, David Gillette, Sr.; four Grandchildren and six great Grandchildren.Special thanks go out to Grandchildren David Gillette, Jr. and Roseanna Gillette for all the efforts in helping keep MaMaw at home with us.Graveside services will be conducted at 2:15 pm Wednesday from the Monte Vista Burial Park. Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff will officiate. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Wednesday. Following the visitation the family and friends will proceed to Monte Vista.
