Psalm 139: 23-24 Search me, oh God, and know my heart: try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Tammy Plunk Osborne, 59, Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023, at her residence.
Tammy was born in Johnson City to the late Bernard and Alma Ruth Plunk.
She was of the Christian faith and a member of River of Life Baptist Church. Tammy worked for American Water Heater and, after 28 years, had planned to retire this coming January.
Tammy graduated from Daniel Boone High School, Walter’s State with an associates degree and finally National College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Accounting, with honors.

In addition to her full time job, Tammy kept the books for the family farming operation, worked and sorted cattle, provided meals for the crew during harvest and any other task her husband and son could talk her into. In recent years, Tammy enjoyed antique and thrift shopping with her daughter for old furniture to refurbish, so much that her husband had nicknamed her "Crafty Tammy."
In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by: two sisters, Diana Presley and Sarah Howell.
Survivors include: her husband of over 34 years, Benny Osborne; son, Tyler Osborne and his wife Hope; daughter, Virginia Osborne; her first grandchild, due to arrive this January, Carly Marie Osborne; three siblings, Bernard Plunk, Jr., Brenda Johnson, and Mark Plunk and his wife Kristine; several nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, James Presley.
The family of Tammy Osborne will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
