Teresa Ann Gouge

Teresa A. Gouge, 58, Unicoi, passed away Wednesday, December 09, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Gouge was born in Greeneville, TN and the daughter of Williane Law Ramsey and the late Robert W. Ramsey. For the last 20 years, Mrs. Gouge worked in the OR at JCMC as an RN. Mrs. Gouge was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. She was a member of ETMM Ski Club. She had a deep love for the outdoors, golfing, and skiing. She was incredibly fond of all animals, especially her dogs, cats and horses. Mrs. Gouge and her dog, Caesar, donated much of their time at JCMC with their pet therapy program. The family of Teresa Gouge would like to especially thank all the people at MSHA who donated their time and support to the family and at home. In addition to her mother, survivors include: her husband of 20 years, Tony Gouge, of Unicoi; one son, Robert Thomas Bayless, of Unicoi; two sisters, Susan Owens, and her husband Steve, of Johnson City, and Carol Jones, and her husband David, of Johnson City; one brother, Bobby Ramsey, and his wife Cathy, of Evans, GA; one mother-in-law, Alice Gouge, of Unicoi; special cousins, Stanley and Billi Byerley; special aunts, Old Mildred Byerley and Cynthia Dockery; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Teresa Gouge will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Morris-Baker. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. James Cambron officiating. Pallbearers will be special friends and family. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM Sunday to go in procession to Gouge Family Cemetery for 2:00 PM graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
