Teresa Lynn Story

December 22, 1960 — January 24, 2013

Teresa Lynn Story, 52, of Watauga died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the home of her mother in Watauga. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Bernie Delany Vance and Mrs. Verda Skinner Lawson. She was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death her stepfather, James Lawson and a brother-in-law, Randy Phillips. Survivors include: her husband, Troy Story of Watauga; her mother, Verda Lawson of Watauga; two daughters and son-in-law, Crystal and Randy Greer of Johnson City and Erica and Johnny Humphreys of Johnson City; a brother, Jimmy and his wife Cheryl Vance of Jonesboro; two sisters, Debbie Freeman of Watauga and Diane Phillips of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Danielle, Chasity and Brittany Greer; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 8:00 pm in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Pastor Dewey Ward. Special music will be provided by, Amber Phillips and Brian Lothery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until time of service at 8:00 pm. A committal service will be conducted on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Jacob Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Bobby Freeman, Cliff Barnes, Jerry Greer and Landon Cash. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 1:30 pm to the cemetery.
