Teruko Shaw of Butler, TN passed away unexpectedly on 6 Dec 2015. She was born in Choshi, Japan and was the daughter of Ishitaro Sekiya and Shime Toyoda Sekiya. In addition to her parents, Teruko was preceded in death by her loving husband Lester Shaw, daughter Leslie Shaw and sister Yoshiko Sekiya. She is survived by her son Anthony and his wife Debi along with her grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth and Sarah. She also leaves behind brothers, Tunel Sekiya and wife Che, Toshio Sekiya, sister Shizuko Kurihashi and a number of loving nephews and nieces: Roger Shaw and wife Barbara, Steve Shaw and wife Faye, Sue Judd, Noriko Sekiya, Joette Nelson and husband Alvin, Masahiro Sekiya, Jason Shaw and wife Melissa, Shachiko Sekiya, and Sharon Shaw. Teruko was a devoted wife, precious mother and loving grandmother who will be missed greatly by those that knew her. The family of Teruko Shaw received family and friends at Morris-Baker Funeral Home at 1pm and gravesite committal was conducted at 2 pm Sunday, December 13 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers were Roger Shaw, Jason Shaw, Michael Shaw, Anthony Shaw, Perry Deneau and Robb Faulk. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Shaw, Jack Cress, Masahiro Sekiya, Tunel Sekiya, Toshio Sekiya, Preacher Frank Johnson and Preacher Chuck Morefield.
