Thelma Emery

Thelma Fawley Emery, age 89, died May 24, 2006 at Appalachian Christian Village. Prior to moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1959, she lived in Hillsboro, Ohio. She had lived in Johnson City, Tennessee since 1997. She was a member of East Unaka Christian Church. Mrs. Emery is survived by a son, Wayne Emery, Johnson City; two granddaughters, Tanya Emery Benbow and Annika Emery, both of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Edna Forney of Leadville, Colorado; a sister-in-law. Martha Fawley of Hillsboro, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Garland Emery; a son, Curtis Eugene Emery; her parents, Paul and Mamie Fawley; two sisters and one brother. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 8:00PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel, officiated by Michael Bradford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday. Burial will be in Danville, Ohio at Hamer Township Cemetery on Friday, May 26th at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to East Unaka Christian Church, 1201 East Unaka Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601-3452
