Thelma Humphrey White, 73, of Johnson City, beloved wife and mother,went to be with the Lord, February 4, 2009 at her residence.She was a lifelong Johnson City resident and a daughter of the late David Frank and Helen Pauline Treat Humphrey. Mrs. White was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Humphrey.Mrs. White was a member of River of Life Church. Survivors include; her husband, Charles, one daughter, Karen R. Rasmussen and son in law, Bob of Wasilla, Alaska; one son; Keith White and daughter in law, Vickie of Johnson City; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Ray Humphrey of Johnson City; two nieces and one nephew.Special thanks goes to Amedisys Hospice, Caris Hospice, Dr. Paul Brown for all his special care during her illness. Special caretakers, Virginia Humphrey, Barbara Crawford, Doris Lane and Betty Sossoman.Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Donnie Humphrey will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1:30 pm Sunday and proceed to the cemetery. ActivePallbearers will be Ancel Presnell, Sr., Richard Bennett, Danny Fair, Bob Boardwine, Eddie Vanhoy and Rick Colbaugh. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. Paul E. Brown.
