Thelma Louise Scott

August 12, 1936 — July 5, 2009

Thelma Louise Scott, 72, of Watauga, passed away, Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Watauga and a daughter of the late, George W. and Florence Ashley Watson. Mrs. Scott was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Scott, Jr. She was a member of the Lick Creek Christian Church. Mrs. Scott was a retired employee of T.P.I. and loved Karaoke and traveling.Survivors include; three daughters, Sherry Taylor of Piney Flats, Darlene Johnson and Melinda Scott both of Johnson City; one son, Carl W. Scott of Piney Flats; six Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Brewer and her husband Roy and Lois Wiseman all of Foley, Alabama; a very special friend, John Banks of Piney Flats; two special cousins, Frances Blevins of Elizabethton and Jimmy Myers of Piney Flats. Funeral services for Thelma Louise Scott will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Greg Poe and Mr. Tony Duncan will officiate. A committal service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at the George Mottern Cemetery in Watauga. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:15 AM Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, prior to the service.
