Thelma Ruth Miller

Ruth McGee Miller, 85, of Lebanon, Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the University Medical Center, Lebanon. She was a native of Jonesborough, daughter of the late Dave and Cora Deakins McGee. Ruth was a retired nurse and medical assistant. She was a former member of the Unaka Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Miller in 2002 and five siblings. Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Dave Pitt of Lebanon; three grandsons and two granddaughters-in-law, Justin and Kimberly Pitt of Franklin, TN, Damon Pitt of Paya Del Ray, CA and Adam and Hillary Pitt of Cordova, TN; six great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marie McGee of Telford and three nephews. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Home National Cemetery. She will be eulogized by her grandsons. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. then process to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews; Curtis, Harold and Haskell McGee, Justin, Damon and Adam Pitt.
