Thomas Brad Shaver

Thomas (Brad) Shaver, 42, of Johnson City, TN passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 after a brief illness.He was preceded in death by his loving father, Thomas L. Shaver and by his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. L. C. Shaver of Blacksburg, VA and his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. W. Penn Davis also of Blacksburg.Brad loved basketball and was always ready for a game. Brad is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Shaver of Johnson City. Also surviving are Aunts, Uncles and many Cousins. Very best friends, Jeff Oler of Dallas, TX and Gary Roberts of Johnson City. Many thanks and love go out to friend and caregiver, Sam Rayburn. He will be missed by his pets, Chacker (rabbit) and Benji (the dog). The family wishes to thank Brads many friends for their many visits and their love and kindness during his illness.Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 Tuesday from the West View Cemetery in Blacksburg, VA. Rev. Greg Kitts will officiate. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday. The family requests donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, P.O.
