Thomas Edward Holmes

Thomas Edward Holmes, 51, 375 Greenlee Road, Johnson City, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mr. Holmes was native of Washington County and the son of Walter and Mary Vanover Holmes of Carter County. He was a former owner of Safeguard Security. One sister preceded Mr. Holmes in death. Survivors in, addition to his parents, include his wife, Vicki Holmes, twelve children, Melissa Holmes, Joey Holmes, Priscilla Holmes, John Holmes, David Holmes, Daniel Richardson, Joshua Richardson, Brent Richardson, Delzie Holmes, Thomas Holmes, Charlie Holmes and Adam Holmes; three brothers and two sisters and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Holmes will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Jonesborough, TN. Pastor Vern Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to assist the Holmes family.
