Thomas Sherwood Boswell

Thomas Sherwood Boswell, loving son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Rouse, Jr. 1012 Nottingham Place, Johnson City went to be with his Lord on April 6, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington County, Tennessee and was reared in Kingsport. He joined the Army at the age of seventeen and after a brief service was Honorably Discharged. Thomas attended Lee-McCray College in Banner Elk, NC and E.T.S.U. in Johnson City. After returning from the service, he worked with the Mentally Handicapped at Dawn of Hope and Greene Valley Development Center. Thomas developed health problems at an early age which have challenged him through his life. His love of Music, both keyboard and guitar, the love of family and friends and his Faith in the Lord have helped him endure through his health problems. Thomas was preceded in death by, his adoptive father, Benjamin C. Boswell. He will be greatly missed by his parents, family and the many friends that he had over the years. The family would like to express their appreciation for all the help his caregivers have given both in the hospital and at home. The funeral service for Thomas Sherwood Boswell will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The Reverend Bob Edmonds will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Burial will be in Monte Vista Memorial Park immediately following the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 12 Noon to 2 PM Friday prior to the service.
