Thurman Dye

Thurman Dye, 86, Telford, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his residence. Thurman was born in Piney Flats to the late Jewel and Kate Dye. Thurman was a member of Central Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Thurman enjoyed all life had to offer through traveling. He also loved to garden and work in his yard. In addition to his parents, Thurman was preceded in death by: his brother, Roy Glenn Dye. Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Marie Dye; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dye and Ann Rodgers and her husband Bill; and one niece, Melissa Saylor. The family of Thurman Dye will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Central Church of Christ, 2722 E. Oakland Ave., Johnson City. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 PM with Minister Tim Hall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Church of Christ, 2722 E.
