Todd Allen Bennet, 38, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2018, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Todd was a Washington County Native, the son of Pamela Carver Taylor and Darrell Bennett. He was a graduate of Happy Valley Highschool?s class of 1999. Basketball was his favorite sport, and he enjoyed playing as well as watching. Later in life he ran his own business, Bennett?s Plumbing. He had also been in the Air Force. Todd is preceded in death by: his maternal grandfather, James D. Surcey; paternal grandparents, Argil and Lucy Bennett; and uncle, Roger Surcey. Survivors include: his mother, Pamela Carver Taylor and her husband Bobby Taylor; father, Darrell Bennet and his wife Lauri Bennett; children, Gage Bennett, Macy Bennett, McKenzie Bennett, Jackson Bennett, Brysen Bennett; sister, Tosha Bennett; special grandmother, Charlotte Surcey; Aunts, Linda Surcey, Diana Carrol and her husband Chuck Carroll; close friend, Rob, who called him ?Stitch?; and special nephews, Lennix Bennett, Dylan Williams and Kaiden Marcum. The family of Todd Bennett will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2018, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Chuck Babb. A committal will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2018, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 10:50 AM. Active pallbearers will be: David Surcey, Carroll Surcey, Michael Bowman, Colton Surcey, and Wendell Loving.
