Tony Nelson

Mr. Tony Nelson, age 40, of Unicoi, passed away, Thursday, September 22, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Nelson was a native of Washington County. He is the son of Ed Nelson and Judy Hughes Blevins. Mr. Nelson was a Pipefitter for Gene Cox Mechanical Contractors. Survivors other than his mother and father include: his wife, Janice Lynn Deyton Nelson; one son, Jerry Deyton of Unicoi; one brother, Edward Keith Nelson of Ashville, North Carolina; one sister, Lisa Miller and her husband Robert of Johnson City; one grandson, Andrew Deyton of Unicoi. The funeral service for Mr. Tony Nelson will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, September 25, 2011 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Joey Murdock will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Monday in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM Monday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service.
