Vangie Jameson

Vangie Jameson, 77, of Johnson City, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her residence. Miss. Jameson was a native of Burnsville, North Carolina who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Lester L. and Jessie Street Jameson. In addition to her parents one sister, Aldean McKinney, also preceded her in death. She was retired from North Side Hospital. She was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Survivors include: one brother, Bob Jameson of Plymouth, Minnesota; two sisters, Athileen Miller and her husband Jesse of Johnson City and Jennie McLaughlin of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Vangie Jameson will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, July 13, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 10:30 AM Monday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 7 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service.
