Velma Knight

Mrs. Velma Knight, 66, 701 Wilson Avenue, Johnson City passed away Thursday July 8, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late William E. and Emily Noel Gilliam. In addition to her parents her husband Terry Knight also preceded her in death. Mrs. Knight was a homemaker. Survivors include: two daughters, Doris Ann Warren and her husband Tony and Penny Gail Sherrill; one son, Terry Lee Knight; two sisters, Bertha Gilliam and Betty Gilliam; five grandchildren, Edwin Louis Sherrill, Chasiti Leann Knight, Cody Alan Sherrill, Nikita Renee Warren and Autumn Nichole Knight; two great grandchildren, Sophia Grace Sherrill and Ava Faith Sherrill. A graveside service for Mrs. Velma Knight will be conducted at 3 PM Wednesday July 14, 2010 in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Jonesborough. Rev. Gary Hodges will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 PM Wednesday.
