Virginia Elizabeth “Beth” Dillow, 51, of Jonesborough, TN went to her eternal home with the Lord on the early morning of Sunday, March 27, 2022 with her mother by her side.
Beth was a loving mother, daughter, wife, family member, and friend who spent her life enjoying time with her family. Despite hardships pertaining to her severe health conditions, Beth approached life with a positive and gentle perspective while appreciating every moment God granted her with loved ones.
She enjoyed drinking sweet tea, working in her flowerbed, and taking care of animals, to include her two dogs, Chico and Trixie, Taz and other countless ducks, rabbits, and the most recent addition – a groundhog she named “Fuzzy Wuzzy.” She loved the beach and often talked about returning to see the “pretty, clear water,” and feel the sand between her toes.
In her early adult life, alongside raising her children and caring for her home, she enjoyed various stints working at the Antique Shop, Spud’s Pest Control, and volunteering at the local Little League.
Beth had a heart of gold, fixed on helping others to the best of her ability. She loved fiercely and was loved abundantly. Her family and friends find great peace and comfort knowing that she was welcomed at Heaven’s gate by our Heavenly Father and other loved ones passed before her, breathing freely with a brand new, perfect set of lungs.
She is survived by her mother, Debbie Kay Harold and step-father, Jimmy Buchanan; husband, John Charles Dillow, Jr.; her son, John Robert Dillow, daughter-in-law, Kayla Noel Dillow, daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Patterson, and son-in-law, Nicholas Craig Patterson; grandchildren, Calvary and Ezekiel Dillow, Noah and Neyland Patterson; and many loving family members and friends.
Beth will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Bethesda United Methodist Church at 12:00 p.m. with Scott Thompson officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50 am.
