Virginia Miller Hunt, 92, formerly of 216 Princeton Road, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2005, at the Center On Aging and Health, Erwin, after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and a daughter of the late John Hunter, Sr., and Vaughtie Grace Proffitt Miller. Mrs. Hunt was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. She retired from the James H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center after 33 years of service as a secretary and dental assistant. She was a member of the 1st District Dental Assistant?s Society. In addition to her parents, her husband, James M. Hunt, and her brother, John Hunter Miller, Jr, preceded Mrs. Hunt in death. Survivors include: daughter, Janice Hunt Marshall, and her husband Bruce W. Marshall, of the home; sister, Sue Miller Barnett, and her husband Rev. Harry Barnett, of Burlington, NC; sister-in-law, Nell Miller Fox, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.
